    Wonderful antique 19th Century engraving comes from a rare illustrated American newspaper and art journal printed in 1883.  Engraving is titled: "
    BAVARD
    " and is in very good condition.
    The only defect is a a very faint mark to the right of the dog's ear. This looks like a light pencil mark and is really faint. This would be hard to notice when framed.
    Engraving is very suitable for framing and measures
    6 1/4" x 6 3/4".
    There is printing on the reverse side which would be covered when framed. There is also a tiny amount of text on the top and right hand outer edges on the border but this would be covered when framing.
    The actual engraving is much sharper than this scan depicts.
